Hello!

Our last family reunion was 14 years ago in Kansas City, MO and it is long overdue for us to come together.  Kansas City cousins (LaShonda Dockery, Sharlene Drummond, Tammy Jackson, Jackie Golden and me) are working to arrange a reunion in 2014 (date yet to be determined) but in the meantime we are planning a trip to Vian, Oklahoma this Labor Day weekend.  The Vian gathering will serve as a precursor to the reunion that will take place next year.  Labor day is on September 2nd this year and on Saturday, August 31st we are planning to drive from Kansas City, MO to Vian (about a 4 hour drive).  While in Vian we will visit the grave site of Birdie and Robert Herron, the old farm land and any other places that remain as a reminder of our history.  We plan to spend the night in Muskogee, OK (about 20 minutes from Vian) and drive back to KC Sunday morning.

We are would like to get a head count to see who might be interested in the journey.
